“Before I met Kib my training was all over the place. I was training a lot but with no results and I was pretty obsessed with weight which wasn't that healthy or sustainable. I was always tired and pretty frustrated that all my efforts were leading to no improvement. 

I had tried so many different types of exercise and nutrition plans, I was sceptical anything would work, but it was SO refreshing to meet someone who actually listened and took note of all my challenges and concerns. As we started training and discussing nutrition Kib demonstrated she had a proper plan.  There was no improvisation or guessing, there was a lot of thoughts put into my program and we progressed very gradually to make sure we could adjust to get the best results.

Kib has empathy and intuition: I had lots of ups and downs, many strong days but also many "not so strong" sessions: I never felt judged or bullied to try harder. This for me was motivating and gave me a lot of encouragement to accept my body and my limitations and still be grateful for all I am capable of doing! 
Kib has taught me SO much! It is a privilege to work with her! Through training with Kib, I have learnt that training smart is so much better than just training hard. I have also improved my technique massively: I was ok before, but with a lot of patience and practice I can now do more and be much stronger in my movements. Also, I learnt the power of rest and recovery, which before I was grossly underestimating. 

Finally, one of my best results so far is less about fitness but more about wellbeing: I have always struggled with gut health, stress and energy levels, and although there is still a lot of work I need to do in this camp, Kib set me on the right path... no more short term solutions, but finally a long term sustainable set of lifestyle choice.

“I started training with Kib a few years ago, and I can honestly say it has changed my life!  Before starting to work with Kib I hadn't exercised properly in years, but I was keen to get involved in lifting and some form of regular exercise. I wasn’t sure if I would even be able to move very well as I had a painful left knee that had troubled me for years. but Kib is amazing and you start out with movements to understand what you can and can’t do.

Training brings me so much joy, its brilliant and I enjoy learning about what my body can do. Kib is supportive but also challenging and helps me in moments of doubt, and to work up to exercises I would not have been able to do years ago. She is also able to adapt exercises and help you work on areas of weakness. There is still a long way to go but, I think that is the exciting part there will never be an end point for me. “After working with Kib for several years, the one thing you notice is how the sessions never become stale or repetitive. This is in part due to Kib always assessing my performance and abilities and evolving the training to match.   Secondly Kabel displays dedication to furthering her education and looking to incorporate new techniques and methods into her teaching where there is a clear advantage.

The benefit of this approach has been apparent since I developed a hip issue that required surgery.  As the issue evolved Kabel worked to ensure that I could keep training safely up to the point of treatment.  Post-surgery Kib devised a series of programs to allow me to rehabilitate and get back to training at the level before my injury.  This has been so successful that I now possess a range of movement that I didn't think possible and I'm back training at my previous levels after a few short months."

“Before I met Kib I had painful knees and could not bend them let alone do a squat. I would have so much pain that it would wake me up at night.   I now no longer have knee pain which is huge for me and I can squat with depth, strength, and confidence. 

I would exercise and count calories which resulted in some amount of progress.  The process of working with Kib has been progressive.  She teaches a lot and demands a lot from me equally, and listens to my needs and gives me feedback.  I work quite far away and so I had reservations about coming to sessions. But the benefits of Kib's guidance in training and nutrition far outweighs my personal dilemma. 

I have since gained a lot of muscle which is something I like.  I feel stronger and more confident and I have enjoyed the changes to my body. I have also learned how to eat better feeding my body so that my body works for me.  I have learned so much from Kib regarding nutrition and have had some amazing results.  Perhaps though the number one thing is that from the health & nutrition guidance, information about detoxing and supplements, I now have absolutely no pain during my menstrual cycle!”

“New Year resolution time. Getting fitter has to be one of the top 10. I made that resolution on 1 Jan 2012. I couldn't run 15 yards for a bus. It took me to March to buy the shoes, and a bit longer to find a trainer. But I started working with Kabel in the summer. By autumn 2013, I had done a 6 km run - easy peasy. And then when my bag was snatched outside my flat (containing all my life - my MacAir with the last 5 years of work on it, the MA dissertation I was working on, 5 years of photographs of lifetime trips, my phone with all my contacts, my camera  - none of this backed up). With my improved fitness I was able to chase the thief (young man 30+ years my junior) for a good mile up Tower Bridge Road to the extent he dropped my bag and I retrieved it. Now I am training for my first half marathon on the 22 March this year. It's been such fun and Kabel so supportive. And no-one believes I am 53 turning 54."

Kib - the first personal trainer I've ever gone to for more than a couple of sessions - has helped me through two big life events so I have double reason for recommending her!

First of all she helped me recover strength and confidence in the face of an auto immune disease (psoriatic arthritis). She gave me a nutrition plan to help restore my good gut bacteria and reduce inflammation in my body, and got me back in the gym. To start with I was so weak that I had to go back to basics. I had totally lost confidence to train with the pain of arthritis, having previously been a very active runner and triathlete, but after several sessions with Kib I could feel my strength coming back and refound my love of training and my body. What a gift!

Kib then trained me through my subsequent pregnancy. She encouraged me to listen to my body to figure out my limits, and tailored programmes accordingly. I was in the gym at 37 weeks pregnant and it kept me feeling great throughout and has made my recovery so much easier. I was nervous about weight training through pregnancy but I'm so glad I did. Kib is patient, encouraging, and challenging - I really can't thank or recommend her enough!"

“I cannot recommend Kib highly enough. Some of her other clients have described her clarity of explanation, expert nutrition knowledge, patience, encouraging manner and creativity. I fully agree with all of that and can honestly say I have never come across a personal trainer as able as Kib on so many levels. I was sold when I first met her in January 2014 on the recommendation of a friend. I had always been an active person and was highly sceptical that a Personal Trainer was really necessary: after all, I had been using a gym for years and felt pretty fit so what could she really add? How wrong I was! At that time, I had, unbeknownst to me, major muscle separation (diastasis recti) from a twin pregnancy which compromised my ability to lift weights and perform many basic movements. Kib noticed this straightaway and threw herself into the challenge of improving my core stability and bringing those pesky muscles closer together. She did additional research to improve her existing knowledge and designed a programme for me that worked a treat.
 
Within weeks, I felt like a different person, stronger, more posture-aware, happier in my body. The muscle separation all but disappeared over the course of a few months. From there, we were able to progress to some proper weight and cardio training and I have seen and felt the benefits ever since. I am stronger and healthier than I have ever been and reap the benefits particularly of improved upper body and leg strength on a daily basis - very important with young children! Kib constantly varies the programme to challenge my body and keep things interesting.
 
A trainer like Kib, who is bright, articulate and explains things concisely and clearly, makes all the difference to a workout, even for relatively experienced gym users. Having someone to make adjustments to form, come up with new and innovative exercises, encourage you and be genuinely delighted when you work hard, are huge benefits. I am approaching my 40th birthday so resistance training and fat loss are all the more important and I will certainly be staying with Kib for the duration. Worth every penny!"

“I started working with Kib because I had an injury which prevented me from exercising, and I had seen the good work Kib had done with my friends. In the year I have worked with her, she really took me back to basics, focusing a lot on getting my posture right through fundamental exercises on lesser used muscle groups. 

I was sceptical at first, as I was used to personal trainers mainly giving me lots of standard exercises to work with. A year later, however, I really appreciate that the benefits of laying down strong fundamentals are paying dividends when it comes to building strength and learning how to do exercises correctly. I have a completely different appreciation of exercise now, and a better level of fitness and technique than ever before. 

And the main result I had been looking for - improvement in the areas I had my injury, has improved beyond what my expectations were."
